AE inspects tank desilting works

Birkoor (Nizamabad): Assistant Engineer of the Irrigation Department warned that the bills would not be cleared if the quality of lake desilting works was poor. He inspected the desilting works of Badaltalav lake in Birkoor mandal headquarters in the district on Saturday.

The ayacut farmers complained to him that the sub-canal works were of very poor quality and quarrying was also not being done properly. Village sarpanch Narasaiah, ayacut farmer Sairam and others were present.
