Karimnagar: In order to provide uninterrupted power supply, the State government has spent Rs 2,400 crore to improve the electricity infrastructure, Minister for Industries K T Rama Rao Wednesday said.

Rs 2,400 crore had been spent by the State government for establishment of electricity sub-stations, erecting transformers and laying electricity lines in the State, the Minister told the gathering.

Rama Rao inaugurated a 132/33 KV Electricity Sub Station at Chippala palli village in the district. "The Telangana government is committed to provide uninterrupted power supply in the State," he said.

Meanwhile, Rama Rao along with Minister for Power and SC and ST Welfare Minister G Jagadishwar Reddy and Transport Minister P.Mahender Reddy inaugurated integrated social welfare hostel for boys in Mustabad mandal.
