Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr Lakshma Reddy has said that the doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have declared that it was almost impossible to separate the conjoined twins Veena and Vani through surgery.

Lakshma Reddy said that a team of doctors from London and the AIIMS had conducted a detailed study on the conjoined twins and came to the conclusion that a surgery for their separation could be highly dangerous and fatal for both.

The Minister said that the Telangana government would extend all required help to the family of Veena and Vani, who have been staying for several years in Niloufer Hospital.
