Sircilla (Karimnagar): A day after he went on a surprise visit to some colonies in Hyderabad to assess public infrastructure, it was time for Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao on Tuesday to know the plight of people in Sircilla constituency from where he was elected as a legislator.

Apparently unhappy over the kind of feedback he received from the locals, especially on drinking water problem and sanitation, the Minister sought to know answer from the Municipal Chairperson Samala Pavani and Municipal Commissioner B Suman Rao. He reportedly gave dressing down to the officials concerned for the laxity.

He later met the residents of BY Nagar and Sundaraiah Nagar, before inspecting Kotha cheruvu mini tank bund works. Later speaking to the media, KTR said that government has earmarked Rs 500 crore for the municipalities.

“Efforts are on to launch a portal exclusively to get feedback from the people,” the Minister said. He assured that Siricilla will be turned into a model municipality in the State. Vemulawada MLA Ch Ramesh Babu was among other people’s representatives present.
