Appointment letters given to 392 AEs

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Wednesday gave appointment orders to 392 Assistant Engineers (AE) who had qualified in the TSPSC examination, at a programme in the Secretariat. The Minister called upon the engineers to deliver their best to the people and said the government was committed to serving the people by providing them with all amenities such as roads, water, power, sanitation etc. He said the appointment of the new engineers would further strengthen his department and help to provide better services to the people.

The Minister asked the junior engineers to mingle with the officials thereby ensuring better co-ordination in serving the people. The new AEs will be given three months of training. The Minister further added that construction of roads in rural areas will be taken up as a priority under the rural employment guarantee scheme. He said that measures have already been initiated in this regard by ensuring that the village Panchayats were equipped with the necessary funds. Instructions have also been given to the concerned officials, said the Minister.
