A committee of Mahankali Simhavahini Temple of Lal Darwaja of Hyderabad conducted the Bonalu in Telangana Bhavan and the adjoining streets in the national capital that attracted people. 

Hyderabad: To reflect its age-old culture and traditions in the national capital, the Telangana State government conducted two-day Bonalu festivities in Delhi that culminated on Sunday.

A committee of Mahankali Simhavahini Temple of Lal Darwaja of Hyderabad conducted the Bonalu in Telangana Bhavan and the adjoining streets in the national capital that attracted people.

A team of 150 artistes participated in the State festival of Bonalu as women carried Bonalu pots decorated with vermillion, turmeric and Neem branches.

After performing special pujas, the participants demonstrated Bonalu festivities in Delhi streets for about one-and-a-half hour and returned to Telangana Bhavan.Similarly Pothu Rajus’ performance, coupled with dance and drum beats were all cynosure on the occasion that reflected Telangana culture and tradition.
