Nizamabad: A sensitive soul from Telangana, Joseph Anthony, unable to bear the violence and terrorism spreading across different continents thereby, snuffing out precious lives and destroying properties, has embarked on a marathon pada-yatra (walk for peace) from the village to New Delhi to spread the message of peace and brotherhood among the people.

A post-graduate in Economics, Joseph Antony, son of Guvvala Innaiah, a mason, hails from Adibhatla village of Ibrahimpatnam manal in Rangareddi district.

Starting his padayatra from his native village on July 1, he reached Dichpalli town on Wednesday. He has prepared his roadmap in such a way that he walks 20,000 km to reach New Delhi by the end of September.

His walking schedule commences at 6 AM and ends at 6 PM every day. He makes his night halt in the houses of villagers, temples, mosques and churches.

During his journey, Anthony stops at various schools and colleges and explains to them about the need to maintain peace and promote brotherhood among people belonging to different communities.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, he said that he would bring out the experiences of his journey in a book form which includes messages from his admirers and well wishers.
