Hundreds of drivers of auto rickshaws and other vehicles have participated in a rally organised on the occasion. The rally was taken out from the RTA office and passed through the main thoroughfares of the town.

​Mahabubabad/Jangaon (Warangal): There has been good response to a call given by Road Transport Authority (RTA) officials for conducting Haritha Haram here on Tuesday.

Hundreds of drivers of auto rickshaws and other vehicles have participated in a rally organised on the occasion. The rally was taken out from the RTA office and passed through the main thoroughfares of the town.

Deputy Transport Commissioner Ch Shivalingaiah, who participated in the plantation programme, has called upon the drivers and public to plant saplings in large numbers. Planting saplings was not enough but care should be taken to protect them by regular watering and providing tree guards.

Motor vehicle inspector K Ranga Rao and others were present. 1,500 saplings planted at CJITS, Jangaon Similarly at Jangaon, a massive plantation programme was held at Christu Jyothi Institute of Technology and Sciences (CJITS). About 1,500 students of the College have planted equal number of saplings on premises of the institute.

Jangaon DSP T Padmanabha Reddy, the College Director Father T Augustine Reddy, Principal JVV Subramanyam, Haritha Haram programme convener A Anand Reddy and others joined the students in planting the saplings.

The DSP and the College Director addressing the students asked them to plant saplings at their homes also. Likewise, they should encourage their friends and neighbours to plant saplings for the common benefit of the society.Jangaon Circle Inspector Ch Srinivas, Yashwanthpur Sarpanch C Ratna Reddy and others were present.
