Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday night welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court, which had directed the Andhra farmers to approach the apex council when they filed a petition against Palamuru-Ranga Reddy, Dindi project.

The Chief Minister soon af ter returning from New Delhi held a review meeting with Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao, MLAs and other officials at camp office late on Wednesday night. He felt that with this the clouds hovering over Palamuru-Ranga Reddy, Dindi project have been blown over.

He said the government would take up these projects on high priority and would complete them with rocket speed and ensure that the fruits of the project reach the people.

The Chief Minister said that though the TS government was following all rules and regulations as per the AP State Reorganisation Act with regard to the irrigation projects, the Andhra Pradesh government was creating hurdles.

He directed the ministers and MLAs belonging to those areas to react immediately and resolve any issue that would arise in the execution of the project. He asked the public representatives to understand the depth of the problems faced by the people of Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda and take all necessary measures to see that the works on all ongoing projects in Palamuru were completed without any delay.
