Hyderabad: Pammi Radhika, mother of the nine-year-old P Ramya, who died in Banjara Hills accident, demanded that the government should strictly enforce ban on bars and clubs that are allowing minors to consume alcohol.

Expressing unhappiness over the State government’s action in fulfilling the promises made to her after her daughter’s death Radhika said Ministers had promised to take the issue to the notice of the Chief Minister and do justice to her family. They said they would bring in Ramya Act.

“It has been 45 days since three of my family members, including the nine-year-old P Ramya, P Rajesh (34) and P Madhusudhan Chary (63) lost their lives.” The Ministers, who promised to talk to CM and see that stern action was taken against those who sold liquor to minors, so far had failed to do so.

Talking to the media at her residence on Tuesday, she said, “In connection with Ramya’s birthday (August 8), I request all the schools to mourn the death of my daughter. I also request the students to take out a rally carrying placards demanding Ramya Act,” Radhika said.
