Hyderabad: Potential leaders representing different social groups and professions learnt important tips during the 47th batch of Vaktha. The training programme, organised by HMTV in coordination with Kaushalya School of Life Skills on Saturday and Sunday, raised the confidence levels of many a participants from Telugu States.

The Director (Training), Kapil Group, and the lead faculty of the programme D Bal Reddy said public speaking was a skill that could be honed only by regular practice. He gave important tips and shared techniques related to public speaking.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place.

He explained how the orator should communicate the subject with the coordinating actions of hands.K Srikanth, another faculty member, explained important techniques of voice modulation, saying a good speaker would maintain a high tone while delivering the speech.

He made students practice some of the important tips and showed how voice culture and modulation could make a person an effective public speaker.

While providing their feedback, some of the participants described how they had undergone complete transformation in their attitude and body language within two days of training and asserted that they would maintain poses like an ‘orator’.

They expressed satisfaction in the way the training was conducted and termed it as a lifetime experience. With burning desire to turn into good orators, they expressed eagerness to grab mikes.

M Krishna, an interior consultant, described the training as a stimulant to become a leader. He felt that the unique programme was a 'life-changing’ experience for him.

Y Roja Rani, a nMPTC from East Godavari district, said the training had transformed her, as she could get rid of her stage fright. As an aspiring speaker, she said the tips provided during the training sessions would help her face huge audience in the coming days.

S Shankar Reddy from Bhadrachalam opined that all qualms regarding oratory were completely erased by the faculty during the two days and he was ready to speak in front of huge audience without any stage fear.
