Spurned by lover, woman stages sit-in

Kothakota: A young woman, Neelaveni, at Chinnamonagalched village under Addakula mandal, staged a sit-in opposite the house of her lover in
protest against the latter spurning her after securing a job in the Police department. Neelaveni claimed that her boyfriend Venkatesh had
promised to marry her.

“We have been in love with each other for last six months,” she said. They fell in love with each when Venkatesh was a ward boy in a private
hospital and she was the nurse.

She accused Venkatesh of ignoring her ever since she insisted that he marry her. She claimed to have helped her lover financially when he
faced crisis. He started ignoring her after securing the police job, she said.
