At least 17 people lost their lives and over 130 others suffered injuries in the blasts that took place on February 21, 2013.

NIA caught Yasin Bhatkal at the Indo-Nepal border along with Asadullah on August 29, 2013 while Tehseen and Zia were arrested six months later. The NIA claimed that the accused had targetted Dilsukhnagar as it was a predominantly Hindu area under the instruction of their boss Riyaz Bhatkal, who is in Pakistan.

The Court examined 157 witnesses before conviction and the sentence would be pronounced on December 19.
