Hanamkonda: The TRS government is leaving no stone unturned for the smooth and successful conduct of April 27 public meeting marking the party’s 16th foundation day.The arrangements have picked up momentum and other works at the ground level are being executed at a fast pace at Prakashreddypet where the meeting will be held on a sprawling eight lakh square yards of area.
Irrigation Minister’s visit adds an extra spur to the on-going preparations for April 27
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao’s visit to the city on Saturday added spur to the ongoing works and to the party cadre and leaders here. The Minister visited the meeting spot and inspected the works along with the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari. He later addressed a general body meeting of the party district unit and exhorted the cadre and leaders to explain the public about the welfare schemes being implemented by the TRS government.
He claimed that no other government in the country has launched so many programmes in short span of time. The parties like TDP, Congress and BJP have no public support. The State government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been recognised as the best government in the country, he said.
The party will continue to rule the State for another 20 years, he opined. The Dy.CM Srihari said that the public in the State are rallying behind the TRS and the CM K Chandrashekar Rao. The April 27 meeting will be an opportunity to thank the CM and hence the public in Warangal and in the State should turn up in large numbers for the meeting.
Speaking to The Hans India on the sidelines of the general body meeting Harish Rao said that the CM Chandrashekar Rao had a special affection towards Warangal. Public here stood behind the party during the statehood movement and that is why the CM chose the city to conduct the public meeting here. The meetings held here in the year 2003 and in 2010 have created history and boosted separate Telangana movement.
‘With the April 27 meeting we are going to recreate the history and it will set a direction for the future of the party in the days to come’, he said. The ongoing membership drive had witnessed tremendous response from the public with entire population in the villages enrolling themselves with the party. For instance all the villagers of Sudanpalli in Wardhannapet assembly constituency joined the TRS on Friday, Harish Rao said.
‘The kind of support being extended by the public in the State is really boosting morale of the TRS leadership. The villagers are very eager to come to the meeting to listen to the CM’. Meticulous arrangements are being made for the convenience of the public attending the meeting, he said. The Dy.CM Srihari said that the members of the 12 committees formed for making arrangements are working relentlessly. Special focus is being made on parking as huge numbers of vehicles would be arriving here.On the other hand, the public in the district is also in a euphoric state, as no such event took place in Warangal since the TRS government assumed power.
“All the residents of all age groups in our village have decided to attend the meeting” said A Ravinder, sarpanch of Sudanpalli. The same is the mood among the villagers of Nallabelli and Rangapur of Narsampet constituency. “We are eagerly waiting to attend the meeting to listen to the CM KCR” expressed Nallabelli sarpanch K Lingachary and Rangapur sarpanch R Rambabu.
