Nod for 26,290 police jobs

Hyderabad: The state cabinet on Saturday ratified the recruitment of 26,290 posts in the police department at its meeting presided over by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
The posts include constables, Sub Inspectors, DSPs and other administrative staff. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said of the 26,290 posts, 18,290 will be new posts in addition to the 8,000 existing vacancies.
The recruitment process would begin by end of this year.
