Students of medicine who wish to pursue super-speciality courses will now have to execute a bond for Rs 50 lakh after getting a seat in super-speciality courses in the medical colleges of the State with a condition that they serve for two years in government hospitals after completing the specialisation.

Hyderabad: Students of medicine who wish to pursue super-speciality courses will now have to execute a bond for Rs 50 lakh after getting a seat in super-speciality courses in the medical colleges of the State with a condition that they serve for two years in government hospitals after completing the specialisation.

The amount of the bond which was for Rs 20 lakh during the last academic year has been raised to Rs 50 lakh in this academic year to ensure that the specialists work in government hospitals without fail. The decision was also taken to prevent students of other States taking admissions into TS medical colleges super speciality courses.

An order was issued in this regard on Wednesday by the Health and Medical Education department. The order also applies to the Nizams Institute of Medical Science also.
