30,000 women to participate in Maha Bathukamma festivities today in Hyderabad
With the Dasara festival approaching, the people of Telangana are in festive mood. As a part of the Bathukamma festivities, over 30,000 women are all set to participate in the Maha Bathukamma to be held in LB Nagar Stadium, Hyderabad today in the evening.

The women will be representing the shape of the Tangedu flower which is Telangana’s flower and this event will set a new Guinness record.
3,000 women have been chosen to arrange the flowers with the name - Maha Bathukamma in LB Nagar stadium.
Special preparations have been made for this event by the state government as women from various mandals are being provided amenities to reach the venue. The Telangana government has allotted Rs 3 lakhs for each district in this regard and Rs 5 lakh for each district in order to organize Sadhula Bathukamma that will take place on September 28th.
On the eve of Maha Bathukamma, traffic restrictions have been deployed in the city today between 4 PM and 10 PM.
