Secunderabad: South Central Railway hosted Chief Freight Traffic Managers Conference of the Indian Railways on Thursday at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad.

Railway Board Additional Member (Traffic Transportation) Ambrish K Gupta participated as Chief Guest, Chief Freight Traffic Managers (CFTMs) from all over the Indian Railways participated in the Conference to discuss on initiatives to be taken for improving the freight loading. SCR Chief Operations Manager N Madhusudana Rao also participated in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambrish Gupta stated that significant changes can be brought in Freight Loading with extra efforts and every day is most important in monitoring the freight movement to achieve improvement in the loading.

He instructed the officials to focus on coal and fertilisers loading and advised the CFTMs to conduct regular meetings with the stakeholders to resolve their problems.

Further, he informed that Indian Railways is going to be equipped with 25,000 additional new wagons soon to meet the demands of the future.

He instructed the CFTMs to accord the priority in monitoring the Wagon related repairs, Periodical and Routine
overhauling etc.,

While discussing on the performance of the zonal railways, he complimented South Central Railway for showing improvement when compared with the last year performance.
