The suspect, P Pawan Kumar, a music system operator came into contact with the victim seven months ago. Following this, he sent her messages over WhatsApp and continued to do so even after repeated warnings.
The police stated that Kumar sexually assaulted the woman at her residence when the latter’s husband was away on February 28.
Later, he even threatened to inform her husband and took gold ornaments and money several times.
Upon coming to know this, the victim’s husband informed the police seeking action.
Gold ornaments weighing 5 grams and Rs 55,000 was seized from the suspect who has been remanded in judicial custody.
