Hyderabad Metro intensifies works to launch commercial operations between Ameerpet and LB Nagar

With the inspection of substations, its another milestone on the works of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) section between Ameerpet and LB Nagar. With the authorities planning to commence the Metro operations in this section around the middle of the year, the inspection was held for the 33kV and 415V indoor substations from Dilsukhnagar to LB Nagar and OMC, Gandhi Bhavan Metro stations.

With the inspection of substations, its another milestone on the works of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) section between Ameerpet and LB Nagar. With the authorities planning to commence the Metro operations in this section around the middle of the year, the inspection was held for the 33kV and 415V indoor substations from Dilsukhnagar to LB Nagar and OMC, Gandhi Bhavan Metro stations.

The inspection was conducted by the Chief Electrical Inspector to Government of India (CEIG) for HMR project, D V S Raju who said that the commissioning of these stations will provide great momentum for furthering the progress and completion of the section from Ameerpet to LB Nagar of Corridor – I. The Ameerpet- LB Nagar section is a part of the Corridor I (Miyapur – LB Nagar) covering 29 km and consists 17 stations. So far, the overhead power cabling and track laying are in progress with the majority of the stations have been covered.

To accord permission for commencing the commercial operations, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety will have to inspect the entire section, covering about 16 km, once the works are completed.

For now, the HMRL officials are intensifying measures to speed up the works to launch the commercial operations during the middle of the year.
