Hyderabad: The Southwest Monsoon which was weak in the State turned normal during the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Thursday. Rain occurred at many places in Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mahbubabad, Nirmal and Khammam districts, the Met department bulletin said.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at some places in the State from August 3 to 6. No large change during the period August 7-9 is the weather outlook.
The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Jukkal, Madnur, Gandhari (all in Kamareddy) 3 each, Dharpalle, Sircilla, Ranjal, Dichpalle, Nandipet, Navipet Sircilla, Ranjal, Dichpalle (in Nizamabad), Yellareddy, Pitlam, Lingampet (all in Kamareddy), Yellandu (Kothagudem), Karimnagar, Garla, Gudur (all in Mahbubabad), Mudhole (Nirmal), Kondurg (Mahbubnagar), Enkuru (Khammam) 2 each.
There was 1 cm each in Nizamsagar, Sathupalle, Thollada, Velpur, Varni, Nizamabad, Bayyaram, Birkoor, Chandrugonda, Hyderabad Airport, Nalgonda, Chennur, Hanamkonda, Tekulapalle, Jangaon, Khanapur, Burgampadu, Dornakal, Mallial, Mustabad, Makloor, Bhiknur, Mahbubabad, Chinthakam, Domakonda, Nagareddipet, Julurpad, Mogullapalle, Kaleshwaram, Kotgiri, Utnur, Tadwai, Dubbak, Jakranpalle, Khammam Urban, Yedapalle, Sriramsagar.
Meanwhile, Khammam continued to record the highest day temperature of 35 degrees Celsius. The other temperatures in the State were: Hanamkonda, Hyderabad, Ramagundam 34 each, Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda 33 each, Hakimpet, Medak, Nizamabad 31 each.
