Hyderabad: Telangana State Prolusion Control Board (TSPCB) is making arrangements for distributing two lakh clay Ganesh idols. To promote eco-friendly awareness, natural colours, prepared by Prof Jayshankar Agriculture University, have been used to paint the idols, said P Satyanarayna Reddy, member secretary of the TSPCB, in a statement here on Tuesday.
The idols of 8 inches and 18 inches are ready for free distribution. The board is going to distribute the idols across the state through 62 centres in respective zones and regions. In twin cities, 26 centres have been set up for the distribution of clay idols. Apart from free distribution of clay idols, the PCB has begun campaign promoting eco-friendly Ganesh festival through advertisements in different media.
