Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Sunday said that BJP national president Amit Shah, during his visit to Telangana, has endorsed the secret ties between BJP and TRS.

Narayana Reddy, in a media statement, ridiculed Amit Shah’s statement of BJP not having any alliance with TRS in next Assembly elections. “Entire world knows that BJP and TRS are undeclared partners.

TRS not only supported BJP government at the Centre in all its moves like demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax, but it also voted for BJP candidates in Presidential and Vice-Presidential elections,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Modi reciprocated the same by praising the TRS government in the Parliament.

Stating that Shah has spoken only lies during his visit to Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar, the Congress leader said that BJP government did nothing for Telangana in the last four-and-a-half years.

“BJP government did not implement any of the promises it made to Telangana in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act like Bayyaram steel plant, railway coach factory at Kazipet, IIM and IIT for Telangana or funds for ITIR.

Not a single project of Telangana has been accorded the status of a national project. The Centre even failed to bifurcate the High Court,” he said.

The Congress leader also accused Amit Shah of inciting communal feelings to gain ground in Telangana.

“Instead of giving a clarification on why people of Telangana did not get Rs 15 lakh in their accounts as promised by Narendra Modi during elections speeches of 2014, Amit Shah tried to raise communal issues.

He completely avoided real issues and tried to divert people’s attention by speaking about MIM, Razakars and Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations,” he said.
