Mahbubnagar: With the TRS chief and Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao released the list of all the 14 probable MLA contestants, most of them who are sitting MLAs from Mahbubnagar district last week, there is a brewing dissidence being witnessed within the Telangana Rashtra Samithy party for not considering their names for the MLA tickets in the district.

This development has become a cause of concern for party leadership in Mahbubnagar as they are trying hard to convince the dissident leaders.
For instance, in Makthal constituency, the opponents of sitting MLA Rammohan Reddy staged a dharna demanding the party leadership to cancel his ticket and consider their candidate for the MLA ticket for the upcoming elections.

“We felt KCR would give an opportunity to others also during the next elections, however, by announcing the names of all the sitting MLAs as the probable candidates for the upcoming elections, this dashed all hopes of those who have been loyal for the party during the past more than a decade now,” observed dissident TRS activists from Makthal.

Even in Kalwakurthy constituency, the allocation of the party ticket to Jaipal Yadav has angered TRS leaders. Followers of Balaji Singh, one of the aspirants opposed the decision and staged dharna. They even went to an extent of burning the effigy of KCR for not considering the opinion of the leaders on the ground before taking a final call, opined the dissident leaders.

Edma Kista Reddy and Goli Srinivas Reddy are some of the other prominent local leaders from Kalwakurthy who were expecting MLA ticket from the TRS party. However, with KCR taking his decision in favour of Jaipal Yadav, they have nothing to do but express their dissent.

Another leader from Achampet constituency P Ramulu who was also expecting a ticket from the TRS was also denied the same. With this, the former minister is vying to look towards other prospective parties like Congress and is trying his luck for getting an MLA ticket.
