Mahbubnagar: Vowing to give a tough fight to the traitors who ignored the students and real leaders of the Telangana movement, Dr. Raju Naik, Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee chairman, announced that he is going to contest from the Jadcherla MLA constituency seat as an independent candidate in the upcoming election.
Addressing a press meet in Jadcherla, Dr. Raju Naik said that both the TRS and Congress parties betrayed the people of Telangana and joined hands with the people who were against the formation of the State.
“We are all hopeful that at least Prof Kodandaram sir, would stand by the students and would fight in the elections to cherish the dreams of the real fighters of Telangana movement. But disappointedly he has joined hands with Congress and TDP who had played with the lives of students and became the reasons for nearly 1,500 deaths during the Telangana movement,” said Raju Naik.
As the elections are fast nearing, there are many twists and turns being witnessed in Jadcherla constituency of Mahbubnagar district. Earlier, when everyone was thinking that in Jadcherla the contest would be only between current TRS candidate and caretaker Health Minister Dr. C Laxma Reddy and Congress candidate Mallu Ravi, now one more person Raju Naik declaring to contest all of a sudden, the elections in Jadcherla are expected to have a interesting turn in the coming days.
