Kapra: Sarpanch Anuradha Yadagiri Goud’s relay hunger strike at Dammaiguda junction demanding shifting of the Jawaharnagar dumping yard reached the third day on Sunday. Leaders of various parties including TRS leader Nakka Prabhakar Goud extended their solidarity.

Anuradha lamented that people from Jawaharnagar, Dammaiguda, Ambedkarnagar and various surrounding villages are suffering from diseases due to the dumping yard which is polluting air and groundwater and emanating foul smell. She demanded that the government immediately shift the dump yard.
The leaders said that they would form a joint action committee at the earliest, to put pressure on the government.

MPTC member Srihari Goud said that whosoever won the Assembly polls should see to it that the dump yard was removed within six months. Leaders Prasad Goud, Kartik Goud, Prashanth, Venkatesh, Kiran and Hari were present at the hunger strike.
