CHARMINAR: On Tuesday the All India Mahila Empowerment Party (MEP), announced that the party will contest all 119 seats in the Telangana Legislative Assembly elections 2018. According to the party founder and president Dr Nowhera Shaik, CEO of the Heera Group of Companies, the party also intends to fight for human rights, women empowerment, disputes of Waqf properties among other issues.

“We will definitely let you know if there is going to be any political alliance. People are now waiting for a party that respects the Constitution and treats every caste, religion, community equally. Our party is going to make sure that all these problems are addressed,” said Dr. Shaik.

She also said that the main aim of the party is to bring all the women of the state together to fight for their rights and give special focus to the welfare and safety of women and children. The party also aspires to contest in the parliamentary elections across the country in the year 2019.
