Ponnam Prabhakar flayed over remarks

Musheerabad: Condemning the comments made by former Congress MP and Telangana PCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar against Telangana caretaker Home Minister Naini Narisimha Reddy, V Srinivas Reddy, GHMC standing committee member, sought apology from former MP. He said that these comments reflect fear of defeat among Congress leaders. He said that Naini is senior and experienced political leader and Ponnam should remember that Naini even went to jail during Telangana agitation.

When asked about the party candidate for Musheerabad constituency, he said that they abide by KCR’s decision in this regard. Referring to Dr K Lakshman’s promise to modernise fish market, he alleged that BJP president has never cooperated with them for the development of the constituency. It was because of their persuasion with the state ministers, RTC lands were given by the state government for shifting of existing fish market to a new place, he said. Stressing that Dr Lakshman has no role in the development of constituency, he said that Rs 2.5 crore was spent because of his efforts as GHMC standing committee member for laying drainage pipelines in fish market. He alleged that the BJP leader is trying to deceive people again with his new election promises.
