Khammam: Telangana Vidhyarthi Vedika’ (TVV) general secretary Menchu Sandeep on Monday demanded the political parties to give priority to education sector in their election manifesto and effective implementation of KG-to-PG free education scheme.

The representatives of the TVV released students manifesto in front of the Government Degree College in Khammam. Speaking on the occasion, M Sandeep alleged that the TRS party did not fulfill any of its poll promises made to people before going to 2014 polls and to deceive the people again, they are approaching them seeking their votes.

The credit of privatization of education sector goes to caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He is responsible for dissolving the government education sector by encouraging the corporate and private educational institutions across the State, he alleged.

The TRS government did not lodge even a single case against any corporate and private educational institutions when many students died in the respective institutions unable to bear the pressure. With issuing guidelines for implementation of KG-to-PG free education, CM KCR issued the orders for rationalization of schools and closed the government schools, he added.

Instead of strengthening the universities which played a key role in the separate Telangana movement by filling the vacant posts, CM KCR introduced the Private University Bill, he alleged.
