Hyderabad: Going all out to woo all sections of the society, the District Electoral Officer M Dana Kishore appealed to senior citizens, resident welfare associations (RWAs) and NGOs to play an active and vital role in engaging residents and youth to work toward increasing polling percentage in their respective colonies. The DEO conducted a special meeting with RWAs, senior citizens and NGOs at GHMC Head Office on Friday.
He said that a special ECI team of 16 officials would be visit the city and would enquire about the process of elections. They would look into initiatives taken up by GHMC on voter awareness campaigns, transparency related to voting pattern utilizing EVMs, VVPATs and various apps with modernized technology, he said. Later, the DEO, along with all the representatives of various associations, took an oath to participate and work for smooth conduct of the elections in a fair and peaceful manner.
