Shadnagar: With youth and employees looking for an alternative choice in the upcoming elections, apart from TRS and Congress candidates, in all respects, Eerlapally Shankar, an MLA nominee from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) representing Shadnagar is expecting a good turnout for his candidature in the upcoming elections.
Particularly, the youth, employees, poor and downtrodden and the rural masses in the Shadnagar constituency have been looking for a change as there have seen no development either during the Congress or TRS regime since past 3 decades now.
While speaking to the Hans India in an exclusive interview, Eerlapally Shankar said that both the Congress and TRS parties have deceived the poor and downtrodden communities of SCs, STs and minorities in the state. He expressed his concerns that both the TRS and Congress are one and the same they have used the masses and the poor just for their votes in elections and later they ignored their welfare.
“Both Congress and TRS parties are giving priority to upper cast communities in giving MLA tickets. Both these parties are being run by the upper cast leaders and they never allow the SCs, STs and BCs to succeed politically.
They have used these communities just as their vote banks and later ignore them. Particularly the TRS party has miserably failed to fulfil its promises to the poor and unemployed youth and had amassed huge money in the form of commissions and by various corrupt means and using it indiscriminately in elections,” Shankar said.
“They have ruined the democratic fabrics of governance and adopted dictatorial and autocratic rule which is very danger. I am as a face of downtrodden and the poor going into the people from BSP party and exposing the failures of the TRS party. I want to bring a new change in the politics dynamics of Shadnagar,” he added.
If voted to power, Eerlapally Shankar promises to give priority to complete the Laxmi Devipally reservoir and would give priority to bring more jobs to youth by setting up more industries in and around Shadnagar.
However on the other hand the Congress party representative Pratap Reddy, who had won the 2009 elections earlier, is seems to going slow. The main reason for the Congress going slow is attributed to the excess delay in allocating the MLA tickets. With already TRS party MLA contestant Anjaiah Yadav taking a lead in the election campaigning, the Congress party seems to be struggling to gather its cadre together.
Political analysts are of the view that with Eerlapally Shankar in the fray, is going to be the deciding factor in the upcoming elections. As he will be splitting the SC and ST votes, the winning prospects for Congress will be hit badly, while for TRS party’s Anjaiah also the situation will be pathetic and may get a big blow in terms of reduced vote share in the upcoming elections. Shankar who had earlier worked for Congress party and has more than 30 years of experience in politics is seems going enthusiastically as a strong face of masses in Shadnagar constituency.
