Jharasangam: MLA K Manik Rao took part in the first day of Datta Jayanthi celebrations, inaugurated by Ashram pontiff Sri 108th Vaidya Sikhamani Avadhutagiri Maharaj at Sri Dattagiri Maharaj Ashram in Bardipur on Thursday.
Sri Datta Pada puja, Shikara puja, Dhwajarohanam, recital of Guru charitra was launched as part of it. Meanwhile, the MLA-elect welcomed with Poornkumbha by vedic scholars. Later the pontiff offered him prasadam. TRS Jharasangammandal president Vijayender Reddy, leaders B Krishna, Narasimhulu and Jarnappa were present.
