Secunderabad: Fruit vendors are occupying half the road near the railway station. With the Rathifile bus stop, Ganesh Temple and the Secunderabad Railway Station close to each other, there is traffic movement throughout the day.

Laxman Rao, a railway employee, says, “Whenever an RTC bus comes, there is a traffic jam. The police are unable to control traffic.” “The only solution for controlling the traffic is to widen the road. This is one of the major centers in the city,” said Sureka Reddy, a daily commuter. “The flow of buses is high here. There was never smooth flow of traffic here but because of the vendors traffic jam had increased more,” said Suresh Kumar.
“Roadside vendors should be shifted to other places. We are not able to walk on the road because of them. It is causing lot of inconvenience to pedestrians,” said Anjali, a resident of Rezimental Bazaar. “We are selling here because we can’t afford shop rents. We choose this place because it is always crowded. People are asking us to shift to some other place but what business can we do in a place where there are no people? Many passengers travelling through train and bus will come and buy things from us. It is a good place for our business. We also understand the problem that people are facing. Government should give us appropriate place where we can do our business. They should build shops on the road side and give us for less rent,” said Sathaya, a fruit vendor.
