Tandur: A total of 82.39% polling has been recorded in 215 panchayats across Kodangal and Tandur constituencies. About 581 candidates competed for the sarpanch seats.A record turnout was recorded in Peddemul, Yalal and Basheerabad of Tandur and Bomraspet, Daulatabad of Kodangal. Voters have casted their vote coming from faraway places.
About 81.43% polling was reported for Kodangal Assembly seat, while it was 88.10% in GP elections. A total of 83.13% polling was reported in Daulatabad and 82.71% in Bomraspet.Basheerabad has witnessed a lower turnout compared to Assembly elections; however, a record level turnout was reported in Peddemul mandal with 84.96%.
As many as 2, 32, 643 voters are there in seven mandals, out of which some 1, 91, 683 people casted their vote. About 23.8% polling was reported from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm, and it has reached to 82.39% by 1.00 pm.
