Human relations played vital role in RINL turnaround

Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL-VSP) Director (Personnel) YR Reddy participated in the 42nd International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO) World Conference and Exhibition held in New Delhi. Mr Reddy addressed the gathering on the topic 'Employee Relations: Emerging Issues and Challenges'. He highlighted the success story of RINL where employees were given utmost importance as far as welfare and safety aspects were concerned. He also mentioned that human relations played a vital role in the turnaround of RINL and described its employees "very competent, efficient and knowledgeable". He dwelt on the present industrial relations scenario in public as well as private sectors in India, knowledge workers, benchmarking with global giants and improvement of production and productivity. Prof. BK Srivastava, Indian Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi, chaired the session.
