Durgaiah Yada, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) working in Wardhannapet division of Warangal Police Commissionerate, died of complications due to Swine Flu (H1N1), while undergoing treatment in Yashoda Super Specialties Hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday. He is survived by wife and two daughters.

Warangal: Durgaiah Yada, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) working in Wardhannapet division of Warangal Police Commissionerate, died of complications due to Swine Flu (H1N1), while undergoing treatment in Yashoda Super Specialties Hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday. He is survived by wife and two daughters.

He was admitted to the hospital on September 6 with symptoms of Swine Flu. He joined the police department as a Sub-Inspector in 1991 and had worked in Mogullapally, Regonda, Shayampet and Kakatiya University police stations before being transferred to Hyderabad.

He was promoted as Inspector of Police in 2008 and had worked in Intelligence and Vigilance departments. Later, he was promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and was posted as ACP of Wardhannapet division in Warangal Commissionerate. Warangal Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu and other officers condoled his death.
