Calling upon teaching community to study and comprehend mathematics first before imparting it to students, eminent educationist Chukka Ramaiah advised them to teach the complex subject in simple way. "You can cultivate interest on Maths only when you teach it in simple terms," he suggested.
Speaking at a teacher training workshop organised by Society for Promotion of Academic Excellence in Schools (SPACES) at Miyapur in the city suburbs on Wednesday, he said many countries recognised the importance of Mathematics and have been preparing easy methodology to teach it.
'Student's future lies in teaching of Mathematics to him and hence every teacher shall constantly review and introspect the way of teaching,' Ramaiah, himself an excellent Mathematics teacher, said. The impact of Maths teachers over students is immense, he opined.
