30k MBA, MCA seats vacant in AP, TS

Hyderabad: It’s not just engineering seats; there are no takers for MBA and MCA courses in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. As many as 30,886 seats remain vacant in both the states after the first phase of counselling on Friday. A total of 13,711 seats in Andhra Pradesh and 17,175 in Telangana lie vacant. A total of 29,810 in AP and 27,081 candidates in Telangana were allotted seats. The total number of convener seats in AP is 43,521 and 44,256 in Telangana. As many as 1,19,779 candidates from both the states qualified ICET. Only 59,092 aspirants attended certificate verification process. Classes are likely to commence in the second week of October.
