Congress leader Udit Raj has referred to Indian Captain Virat Kohli as Anushka's dog.
Congress leader Udit Raj has referred to Indian Captain Virat Kohli as Anushka's dog. While greeting on the occasion of Diwali, Virat had appealed to the people not to burn crackers but instead celebrate the festival with sweets and lights.
This had drawn the wrath of some section of people who were reacting angrily blaming Virat. There were enough angry tweets on twitter blaming and teasing Virat and Anushka, while many supported his statements. But Congress leader Udit Raj supported Virat in this regard. During the course of his angry reactions against people who passed caustic comments against the couple, Udit called Viirat as Anushka's dog.
It is not known if it was out of pure ignorance or a deliberate statement from the congress leader. "Anushka need not safeguard her dog Virat. There is no such faithful animal than dogs, you, rogues, ruffians and robbers crores of people are suffering from air pollution. Those who are blaming Kohli get your DNA test done to know whether you belong to this country or elsewhere," tweeted Udit.
Further he tweeted stating that Kohli's tweet deserves to be welcomed. Some unscrupulous elements are teasing Virat. Hope the government is watching all these. People who are blaming Virat have to be arrested immediately. Udit, who contested in Parliamentary elections and got elected from BJP in 2019 joined the Congress later. When Congress performed miserably during Bihar elections, Udit had tweeted blaming the EVMS.
The debate surrounding the usage of 'dog' rages on even as the captain of the Indian cricket team is in self quarantine in Australia as per rules where he is all set to play tournaments before returning home to be with his pregnant wife who is expecting their first baby.
