Review: Huawei P30 Pro and P30 smartphones launched
The highlight of the new Huawei P30 series is the camera, which, according to the company, makes phones have the "most advanced camera smartphones to date.
PARIS: Chinese telecom giant Huawei revealed the next generation of its P-series smartphones at an event here. As part of the 2019 smartphone line of the P30 series, the company has launched two phones: Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro.
" Huawei also affirmed that with technologies such as the SuperSpectrum sensor and the extreme SuperZoom optical lens, the cameras of the P30 series smartphones can rival any professional camera.
Huawei P30 vs P30 Pro: The similarities
Both the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro smartphones feature Huawei's Kirin 980 chipset, which also powers the Huawei Mate 20 series smartphones. Huawei's latest line phones offer a dewdrop screen and run Android Pie 9.0- based on EMUI 9.1. Both devices house a fingerprint sensor on the screen and come with a graphene film cooling system that is said to manage heat in a better way. The colour options include five gradient finishes: Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black, Pearl White and Aurora.
Huawei P30 Camera
The cameras of the latest smartphones of the P30 series come with a Huawei AI HDR + mode that allows the front and rear cameras to combine several photos taken in rapid succession. In addition, both phones support the dual view mode that users can equip with two of the rear cameras to record different videos simultaneously. "In double-view mode, you can capture both an ultra-wide-angle clip and a zoom shot, offering a panorama on the right and a close-up on the left of the screen," says Huawei.
Huawei P30 Specifications
The Huawei P30 offers a 6.1-inch FHD + OLED screen with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and a water drop notch on top. It comes with an IP54 rating and offers a triple camera system with Leica on the back with a 40-megapixel primary sensor (aperture f / 1.8), a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor (aperture f / 2.2) and a telephoto lens 8 Sensor of megapixels. The Huawei P30 offers 5x periscope zoom.
On the front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor. Backed by a 3,650mAh battery with 40W top charge support, the Huawei P30 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Price of Huawei P30
The Huawei P30 smartphone offers 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM options and is priced at 799 euros.
Huawei P30 Pro Specifications
A slightly advanced version of the P30, the Huawei P30 Pro, offers a 6.47-inch FHD + OLED screen with 1080x 2340 pixel resolution and a notch on top. In addition to the configuration of the triple rear camera of the P30, it has an additional time-of-flight (TOF) camera, which makes the P30 Pro the first Huawei mobile phone to offer a four-lens camera configuration. The P30 Pro also features Huawei's acoustic screen technology, which means it has a built-in maglev speaker for high-quality headphone audio. The P30 Pro also offers the periscope zoom twice more than the P30, which is 10x. It comes with an IP68 rating, which means it is resistant to water and dust.
Backed by a 4,200 mAh battery, the P30 Pro offers reverse wireless charging, just like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei P30 Pro Price
The base variant of the Huawei P30 Pro offers 8GB of RAM + 128GB of ROM costs 999 euros. The variant of RAM of 8 GB with 256 GB of storage and 512 GB of cost costs 1099 and 1249 euros respectively.
