Netflix is testing an offer where Indian users can get the first month at only Rs 5. Yes, it's true! Netflix users who are subscribing to the Netflix service can get the first month for just Rs 5.
This offer of Rs 5 is not available for all users. Those who are subscribing to Netflix for the first time can avail this offer. Among the new users also only selected lucky users will get this offer. Netflix on its platform tests new features regularly and subscription plans and this offer is another kind of test.
"This is a new marketing promotion designed to help more people discover Netflix. Depending on its success, we may roll it out more widely," In a statement a Netflix spokesperson said.
Irrespective of the subscription plan this new Rs 5 Netflix offer is applicable. Users can choose any of the Netflix plans - Mobile plan Rs 199, Rs 499 plan, standard plan Rs 649 and premium plan Rs 799. Any of these plans can be selected and the first month will be available for only Rs 5. Moreover, the features will be offered as per the subscription plan chosen by the user.
Netflix also launched its mobile-only plan to lure more users. This new offer from Netflix doesn't come as a surprise as it cancelled its one-month free trial offer in December last year in India and other markets.
