A person was killed and four others injured after a car they were travelling in overturned at Ibrahimpatnam on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Uday Kumar (48), a native of Gollapudi village of Vijayawada. He was working in a bank in Karnataka.
The accident occurred on National Highway before hotel Palagani at Ibarhimpatnam when the victims were heading to Gollapudi from Hyderabad. Meanwhile, the police shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway.
On Saturday, three people were killed after their car rammed into a median at Shadnagar. Four others were also injured in the mishap. They were travelling to Anantapur to a attend a marriage.
