1,000 land mutations completed: Collector Venkat Rao
District revenue department has successfully completed more than 1,000 mutations on Tuesday, since the launch of Dharani portal.
Mahbubnagar: District revenue department has successfully completed more than 1,000 mutations on Tuesday, since the launch of Dharani portal.
Reviewing the process of agriculture land mutations being taking place across various mandals in the district, District Collector S Venkat Rao congratulated tahsildars of various mandals and senior revenue officials for successfully implementing the new land registration process through Dharani portal.
He said that they have received 1034 mutation applications after the launch of Dharani portal and of these, 1,000 mutations were performed successfully. Over 30 applications were left pending because of absence of sellers and buyers at tahsildar offices. Only five applications were stopped without mutation because of technical reasons, he explained.
The Collector advised the revenue officials to make sure that the parties involved in the transactions were called through the call center control room at the district Collectorate and make sure that these applications are also cleared at the earliest. The revenue department authorities were also advised that if tahsildar or deputy tahsildar is on leave, then a pool system must be created with the reserve staff in the departments, so as to make sure the process of Dharani mutation is carried out smoothly without any hindrance. Later, the Collector reviewed paddy procurement of all the mandals in the district and directed mandal tahsildars to visit at least three procurement centres per day and to take stock of the situation regularly.
The Collector said last year the State government had procured more than 17,000 metric tons of paddy and this year also expected to procure the same quantity. He said Bhootpur, Addakula and Devarkadra mandals are expected to receive more paddy this year. In view of this, the Collector asked the officials to put more focus on these mandals.
