Amit Shah to visit State every month to strengthen party
BJP State unit president K Laxman says Union Ministers too come to the State once in every two months to oversee the implementation of Central schemes
Hyderabad: The State BJP has formed five teams to oversee the party membership drive launched by party chief and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The development came following Shah's meeting with key leaders of the State party at a private hotel in Shabad on Saturday night before leaving to Delhi.
Accordingly, each of the five teams is allocated two districts from the erstwhile 10 districts of the State.
State BJP president K Laxman said on Sunday, "Each team will look after the membership enrolment drive in each district to take forward the entire process in a systematic way, keeping in view the guidelines issued by the party president.
"Further, the party chief had given us a task of enrolling 18 lakh additional voters and achieve 50 per cent vote share in the coming State Assembly elections in 2023.
Within six months of the Assembly elections, people have lost trust in the TRS party. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is not bothered about fulfilling his electoral promises and neglecting all sections of people in the State," he claimed
"Unemployed and students are angry over the TRS for not filling the vacancies in the government. Poor are openly expressing their anguish over no word about the construction of double bedroom houses.
Failure of the government in intermediate examination results fiasco has made people feel angry towards the ruling party," he said. He said Amit Shah would be visiting State every month to strengthen the party to come to power in Telangana in 2023.
That apart, every month two Union Ministers would be coming to the State to review the implementation of the Central schemes by the departments concerned.
This would expose the expenditure of the Central funds given to the State, the number of people benefitted and the quantum of funds diverted by the State government.
Condemning the statements against the party by the TRS leader Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Laxman said, "The TRS which is aligned with Majlis is taking about secularism is a big joke."
He questioned whether TRS chief KCR's statement of "Hindu-Bondu" is secular.
