The BRS city president Challa Harishankar said that BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Raja Singh are doing politics in the name of religion for their political gain.
He said that people won’t believe their words, and will certainly defeat them in the upcoming elections. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he condemned Bandi Sanjay’s comments against CM KCR and Minister KTR. He said that CM KCR is credited with making Telangana’s dream come true as an undefeated leader and it is not good to making wild comments against such leader.
On the other hand, KTR quit a good job and joined the movement for the realisation of Telangana.
When statehood movement was in full swing, Bandi Sanjay was nowhere to be seen. As an MLA, KTR is credited with changing the direction of Sircilla, which is a troubled region and has been in the hearts of the people of Sircilla, Harishanakar said, advising Bandi Sanjay to mind his language.
In Karimnagar Parliament Constituency, there are 7 Assembly constituencies and the BJP has the merit of borrowing candidates from other parties due to scarcity of candidates for the 7 seats. BJP is the party that demoted Bandi Sanjay as MP and fielded him as MLA.
In the upcoming elections, the deposits of BJP candidates will be lost and the party will be limited to single digit again. 13 BJP corporators are not ready to stay with the party, Harishankar said.
