Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is doing politics in the name of religion.
Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is doing politics in the name of religion. He said that the NIA had arrested the terror accused with the coordination of Telangana police.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Yadav alleged that growing terrorism in the country was because of the policies of the BJP government at the Centre. Yadav recalled that NIA arrested terrorists in recent times in coordination with the State police.
The BJP leaders had alleged that Telangana government was not acting tough against the terror suspects until NIA arrested them.
The Minister lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that the latter was not talking responsibly on the terror acts and national security.
"The BJP is turning every issue as a religious issue and ignoring development," Yadav said. The Minister also targeted the Congress leaders on defections.
Referring to doubts raised by TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy on EVMs, Yadav said that the Congress leader should know that he had won elections by EVMs.
The Congress party has to protect its leaders from joining other parties instead of targeting the ruling party, he said.
