Bring out the creativity in disabled to light up their lives: Collector M Ram Mohan Rao

Nizamabad: District Collector M Ram Mohan Rao on Tuesday called upon people to extend moral support to disabled persons so that creativity and intelligence hidden in them could be brought out.

Rao was addressing after inaugurating a sports event for disabled persons organised in the city. The Collector met with disabled participants on the occasion. Rammohan said that even though they are physically and mentally disabled, they have creativity in some areas like others. In some respects, they have more knowledge and understanding than the physically fit persons.The Collector pitched for imparting training to such people in their respective fields.

He admired the non-governmental organisations that are working to explore creativity and expertise in disabled persons and added that the parents of disabled children need not to bother.

To promote the intelligence in such students, everyone needs to think in a humane way. Fellow students should also be encouraged to give confidence to them. He suggested that winning and losing in sports is not only common, but that the enthusiasm of participating in sports first and foremost should be appreciated. The more you try more likely you achieve success.

He also instructed the organisers and ICDS officials to ensure that every participant was provided with minimum facilities and he should not face inconvenience.

The event was attended by ICDS PD Sravanthi, District Education Officer Janardhan Rao, District Sports Incharge Officer Sammaiah, DRDO Ramesh, Mepma PD Ramulu, Sneha Society CEO Siddhaiah, voluntary organizations, officers, representatives, students, parents and others.
