In the view of Huzurnagar bypoll, the officials intensified the checking in the constituency to curb liquor and cash flow. However, Rs 42.85 lakh cash and 64. 80 litres of liquor worth Rs 962270 worth have been seized by the officials along with 118 guns.

Around 54 people were booked under bind over case and 27 other cases were registered by the police.
The bypoll of Huzurnagar assembly constituency is scheduled to be held on October 21, and the results will be declared on October 24. The assembly seat which was won by Congress leader Uttam Kumar Reddy has remained vacant after he got elected to Parliament from Nalgonda.
