Nayantara Nandakumar, founder of Our Sacred Space in Secunderabad, said, "We have been arranging workshops for a very long time.
The response is great and people have already started enrolling to the workshops. This year we have an array of activities such as karate and self defence, contemporary dance, bachata and tie & dye and many more."
Several individuals are running summer camps across the city in their own capacity, for instance, Meghna conducts creative writing workshops at Sainikpuri. Kranti, manager of Lamakaan said, "We will be conducting workshops for elders and also for underprivileged children. We invite children from government schools."
Monisha, a resident of Sainikpuri conducts summer workshops that include activities such as aero modeling - where students prepare models of airplanes.
The workshops are for students in the 8-13 age group. She further added, "Jungle Book is another favourite theme. Children like painting characters and it is followed by a reading session."
