Chief Minister Relief Fund, Kalyana Lakshmi cheques distributed in Wanaparthy

Wanaparthy: The students of upper primary school in Vallabhnagar Colony of Wanaparthy district received free schoolbags distributed by Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said that the State government was taking all necessary steps to improve the quality of education in government schools.

"In the last five years, the State government has taken up various initiatives to improve quality of education and has started scores of residential schools for different communities.

This apart, in the existing government schools, the government has been providing free books, uniforms and school bags so that students from economically weaker section can get benefitted," said the Minister.

Later, the Minister took part in a programme at Wanaparthy Tahsildar's office and distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries.

At his residence, the Minister also handed over Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques worth Rs 3.30 lakh to nine beneficiaries who were undergoing treatment for various ailments. "The TRS government is the only government in the country which is taking up various welfare and developmental programmes for the people. The government is giving top priority to healthcare, and welfare of the poor and at the same time completing irrigation projects in a time-bound manner," said the Minister.
